The company’s official full name is JK Tyre & Industries Ltd, and it is manufacturing tyres, flaps and tubes for the last 4 decades. It was formed in 1974 in Delhi and soon established itself as the market leader in Truck/Bus Radial Tyre in India. They are also the only tyre manufacturer having the entire range of 4 wheeler radials for trucks, busses and cars. In 2008, as part of their future outlook JK Tyre acquired Mexican tyre major – Tornel.

The company is India’s No. 1 truck and bus radial tyres manufacturer. It has been awarded as a Superbrand for the year 2013-2014. The group also received the ‘Brand of the Year’ Award in 2015 at World Branding Awards held in London.

R&D Facilities-

The R&D Facilities for JK Tyre is done at HASETRI which is India’s first and foremost independent Research and Testing Centre established in 1991to fulfil the nation’s growing need for developing newer and better technologies for customers and tyres alike. The group has a Tech Centre in Faridabad (Haryana). RPSCOE is an R&D set up located at IIT-Chennai (Tamil Nadu).

They have 6 modern state-of-the-art manufacturing plants located inside India at Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. The group also manages 3 plants in Mexico following the takeover of the Tornel. All these plants are equipped with the world’s most advanced manufacturing and testing machines. The company has a production capacity of more than 20 million tyres per year.
