The elegantly designed Volvo XC60 is based on the same, Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform as the Volvo XC90 and brings with it a new look, feel and perspective. It is wider, longer and shorter than its previous version. The 15 speaker Bower and Wilkins sound system is a treat for the ears. It is spacious, comfortable and front seats have a massage function. The Volvo XC60 is made available in a single variant i.e. Inscription D5, which has a 2.0 L 16V turbo diesel engine which manages to churn 235 PS of maximum power at 1250-4000 rpm and peak torque of 480 Nm at 1750-2250 rpm which are usually in the V6 territory. The engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission sourced from Aisin and a Haldex all-wheel-drive system. The Volvo XC60 SUV can reach up to the top speed of 230 kmph, yet the cabin is quiet if you choose not to play an audio.
The air suspension, which comes with an option to choose between Eco, Comfort, Off-road and Dynamic modes, provides the perfect balance between comfort and handling.
