Volkswagen Polo Tyres
Volkswagen Polo is presently available in four different variants, they are Trendline, Comfortline, Highline and Highline Plus. Volkswagen Polo tyre size for Trendline model measures 175/70 R14 and comes with radial tubeless technology while the Comfortline and Highline variants are equipped with 185/60 R15 radial tubeless tyres. The top-end trim Highline Plus, on the other hand, features 195/55 R16 radial tubeless tyres. In terms of wheel covers, Trendline, the base model has been shod with steel wheels with full covers. Moreover, the Comfortline trim gets steel wheels. Volkswagen Polo car tyres of Highline trim has been bestowed with stylish TOSA alloy wheels whereas the top-end trim Highline Plus features PORTAGO alloy wheels.
Volkswagen Polo is an elegant hatchback and since launch, it has been competing against hot hatches with similar fortitudes such as Maruti Swift, Ford Figo, Honda Jazz, Maruti Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20.
The exterior design updates on the Polo facelift include the all-new front radiator grille, refreshed front bumper with a chrome strip running across the air dam. VW polo gets double barrel headlights along with cornering lamps and refreshed fog lamps. At the rear, the car features new bumper with integrated license plate holder and reflectors. Tail light also gets some detailing and appears different.
The Polo interior is adorned with a new flat-base three-spoke steering wheel. Existing instrument cluster has been retained with minor changes while the cluster is no longer in VW signature red colour. Other features that are in line with the other segment cars include air conditioning, rain sensing wipers, height adjustable driver seat, central locking while cruise control is one such feature takes its level one step above its counterparts.
Mechanically, Volkswagen Polo is powered by the 1.2 L MPI 3-cylinder in-line mill that can generate the output of 75 PS at 5400 rpm and yields peak torque of 110 Nm at 3750 rpm. It’s another powerful oil burner is the 1.5 L TDI 4-cylinder that is capable of producing the power output of 90 PS at 4200 rpm and peak torque of 230 Nm at 1500-2500 rpm.
In the petrol department, the car features 1.2 L 3-cylinder MPI engine that pumps out 75 PS and 110 Nm of torque respectively. All the engines are mated to 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.
Volkswagen Polo Price
Despite being a popular German brand, Volkswagen India has placed Polo hatchback in a quite reasonable price bracket. The prices start at Rs. 5.42 Lakh and goes up to Rs. 9.56 lakh. In the petrol mill, its Trendline model gets the price tag of Rs. 5.42 lakh while the Comfortline and Highline variants are available at the price tag of Rs. 6.11 lakh and Rs. 7.02 lakh respectively. The top trim Highline Plus is available at Rs. 7.24 Lakh. Coming to diesel line-up, the Trendline trim is priced at Rs. 6.93 Lakh, while the Comfortline model is priced at Rs. 7.84 Lakh. Hi , I do have 2015 POLO TDI High line model, it just clocked 34000 km.
Currently I feeling an issue with my car. During drive , i continuously feels that the tires are wobbling . I checked the alignment which is proper. Also stopping from high speed, the steering vibrates. The expert from shop told me that to change tyres as the car though not run too much its now 4 years old and stock tyre does not perform well and got hard. Is it true?
Is upgrading to new Tyres will sort out issue or I need to check other factors too?
